We are excited to announce that our Annual Hickory Jog-a-Thon fundraiser will take place on Friday, April 17th! Hosted by the PTA, this fun event encourages students to get involved in supporting our school and PTA programs. Our goal is to raise $60,000 to enhance school resources, fund PTA programs, and provide the best possible educational experience for our students.

 

This year we are raising funds for study trip admission and buses, assemblies, teacher grants, community events, Adventures in Art, library funding, and so much more. If the Hickory community hits our $60,000 fundraising goal, the Hickory PTA will be treating the students to a popsicle recess!

Event Details

 

Date and time: Friday, 4/17/26

 

Schedule:

 

9:35 - 10:05am, TK and Kindergarten

10:15 - 10:50am, 5th grade

10:50 - 11:25am, 1st & 2nd grade

11:25 - 12:15pm, 3rd & 4th grade

 

Event Volunteers Needed: Jog-a-thon Volunteers

 

Know Before You Go:

 

• Each grade gets its own track on the field, and students will be on the field for 30-35 minutes! There will be a spirit area between the tracks where students can cheer on their friends, take a water break, or just hang out if they don’t want to jog. 

• Students should bring their own water bottles. 

• Families are welcome to cheer their students on while they participate.  Please be mindful of staying within the designated family areas. Only Jog-a-thon volunteers and students will be allowed on the jogging tracks and student spirit area. 

• Students are required to have submitted a PTA waiver form prior to participating in the Jog-a-thon.

 

Prizes

 

We have partnered with Booster + Dude Perfect for all of our individual prizes.  Volunteers will be passing them out between Monday, 4/13/26 - Monday 4/20/26. Speaking of volunteers, we will need volunteers to help with the distribution of prizes every morning, please consider volunteering for a shift, Prize Volunteers

 

Last year our school received donations from 32 different states.  This year if we receive donations from 33 states, Ms. Amy will get duct taped to a wall during an assembly.

 

If we reach 100% of our $60,000 goal, the Hickory PTA will celebrate with the kids at a popsicle recess!
