Jog-a-thon 2025

Our biggest fundraiser of the year! Hickory Hounds let’s set our paws in motion and raise some funds!

We are excited to announce that our Annual Hickory Jog-a-thon fundraiser will take place on Friday, March 28th! Hosted by the PTA, this fun event encourages students to get involved in supporting our school and PTA programs. Our goal is to raise $52,000 to enhance school resources and provide the best possible educational experience for our students.

 

This year we are raising funds for study trip admission and buses, assemblies, teacher grants, community events, Adventures in Art, library funding, and so much more. If the Hickory community hits our $52,000 fundraising goal, the Hickory PTA will be treating the students to a popsicle recess!

How to Get Started on MyBooster.com:

  • Click “Sign Up”

  • Enter “Hickory Elementary”

  • Enter your Information

  • VERY IMPORTANT! Once you sign up, get started by sharing via Facebook, email and text!

 

Tips for Success:

  • Set a goal for how much to raise and make a plan with your student on how to get there.

  • Share, share, share using our easy online tools!

  • Make sure to thank everyone that supported you after you reach your goal.

Event Details

 

Date and time: Friday, 3/28/25

Schedule:

9:45-10:30 am 2nd grade and 3rd grade

10:45-11:30 am TK, Kindergarten and 1st grade

11:45am-12:30 pm 4th and 5th grade

 

Event Volunteers Needed:

Know Before You Go:

 

  • All visitors will be required to check in at the front office. You will need your ID.

  • Please go straight to the field. Do not go to the classrooms.

  • There will be two tracks and a student spirit area between them. 

  • Families are welcome to cheer on the students, but please stay in the designated family areas.

  • Each grade gets its own track on the field, and students will be jogging for 30 minutes! There will be a spirit area between the tracks where students can cheer on their friends, take a water break, or just hang out if they don’t want to jog. 

  • Students should bring their own water bottles. 

  • Families are welcome to cheer their students on while they participate. Please be mindful of staying within the designated family areas. Only Jog-a-thon volunteers and will be allowed on the jogging tracks and student spirit area. 

  • Students are required to have submitted a PTA waiver form prior to participating in the Jog-a-thon.

Prizes

We have partnered with Booster + Dude Perfect for all of our individual prizes. Volunteers will be passing them out between Monday, 3/24/25 - Monday 3/31/25. Speaking of volunteers, we will need volunteers to help with the distribution of prizes every morning, please consider volunteering for a shift.

 

 

When our school reaches 50% of our goal, or $26,000, the students will get to have a P.J. Spiritwear Day.

 

If we reach 100% of our $52,000 goal, the Hickory PTA will celebrate with the kids at a popsicle recess!

 

The top earning class will receive the Jog-a-thon perpetual trophy for the year. Mrs. Bond’s class has been holding on to it since last year - who will be top class this year?
