This is a wonderful opportunity to teach our children about the value of helping those who are less fortunate than us! We appreciate your participation and generosity. All packaged, non-perishable donations are welcome. Please be sure to check the expiration date. Here are some guidelines to help us collect a variety of items:
Kindergarten: Canned vegetables
1st Grade: Canned pasta sauce, pasta, brown/white rice, dry beans
2nd Grade: Canned fruit, juice boxes, boxed Jell-O, Applesauce, individual fruit cups
3rd Grade: Peanut butter, jelly, boxed mac & cheese, Hamburger helper, mashed potatoes
4th Grade: Canned soup (not “cream of”), Canned meats (ex. chicken, beef, tuna)
5th Grade: Cereal, instant oatmeal, granola bars
Please deposit all donations in the collection area near the office gate.
Thanks to the wonderful Hickory families, our Food Drive will be a huge success and help the lives of many people.
Our collection will be donated to a local food pantry that serves those in need in our local community.
